We've been on the other end of a transfer.
Andy was founded by immigrants.
That isn't a line for a website. It's the reason the company exists. Between us we've watched a rate move between checking it and sending, found a fee we hadn't been shown, and made the call home explaining why less arrived than we'd promised. Sending money to the people you love shouldn't take that much vigilance.
We've also built this before. People on our team helped grow one of the leading digital remittance apps in African corridors, so we know what actually makes cross-border payments work: the payout partners, the compliance, the liquidity, and the difference between a corridor that looks fine on paper and one that still pays out on a Sunday night.
These payments carry more than money. They carry school fees, rent, medicine, payroll, and the invoices that move goods between countries. That deserves infrastructure built properly rather than quickly, which is why we're building the hard part first.
Pre-launch. We aren't moving money yet. The mobile app is what we're building now, and the web version follows once the app is settled.
